DMC Floche is a beautiful very high quality 100 percent cotton thread made from 5 very fine threads twisted together. It is size 16 and it comes in a generous 168 yards skein. It's comparable to approximately 1.5 strands of floss. So it is perfect for using on higher counts of cross stitch (18 - 32 count) or use 2 threads together to use it on 18 count needlepoint. It is also a perfect thread for heirloom quality hand embroidery and fine crochet work. The drawback is that it is not available in as many colors as normal DMC perle cotton and floss, and it costs a little more.
