This is the premier metallic thread for cross stitching because it is so soft and easy to use. Also used for needlepoint for light details on 18 ct canvases. It's also nice and thin for crazy quilting, scrapbooking and card making embellishments. In fly fishing, it adds a little weight to bodies and heads without adding too much bulk.


  • Cross stitch beautifully on 14 to 18 count Aida or 28 to 32 count linen over 2
  • Needlepoint stitch on 18 to 30 count for very fine detail work.
  • 11 meters per spool (about 12 yards)
  • Please note this thread is not divisable.
  • Made in the USA
  • The numbering system is number plus sometimes letters, here's what the letters mean (for example 002, 002V, 002C, 002L and 002HL are all different colors, close but not the same)
  • "HL" stands for Hi Lustre colors
  • "V" stands for vintage-matte finish colors
  • "C" are braided cord colors (stiffer, resemble real metals)
  • "L" are holographic colors.
