The yarn has a balanced twist with just the right amount, and it is machine washable and dry safe. It is grown from sustainable family owned cotton farms in the U.S. and spun on family mills in the U.S. Purchase individual yarn balls in 194 yard (3 oz) balls in natural non-dyed or classic colors or check out the beautiful heirloom quality baby knitting and crochet kits we have to offer. All of the dyed Appalachian U.S. Organic Yarn is dyed with a low-impact earth-friendly dying process.

- Recommended Knitting Needles: US 6 (Some of the Appalacian Baby patterns recommend a Size 9 needle for keeping the knit stitches loose and then the fabric will tighten up when machine washed & machine dryed as recommended in the link in the care instructions below)
