Mill Hill Laurel Burch Cross Stitch Kits
These designs come in a kit contains everything you need to start a beautiful counted cross stitch project: needles, perforated paper (or 14 ct Aida or 28ct linen), threads, beads and in some kits buttons.
Perforated paper is like very heavy duty card stock that resists tearing and has evenly spaced holes, it's used like cross stitch fabric. It is 14 ct and has the same size holes as Aida 14, making these easy to see and stitch. Aida 14 is a even weave fabric with 14 holes per inch and is also great for beginners. Linens 28 and 30 count are generally more "difficult" with 28 to 30 thick and thin threads every inch, it has smaller holes. And generally linen is stitched "over 2" meaning up 2 holes and over 2 holes for every 1 cross stitch, which can take some getting used to. So while more difficult to see and stitch even beginners should be able to pick up linen and get the hang of it if they have patience.
