Colonial Persian Wool is the replacement for now defunct Paternayan Persian Wool. Made by the original spinner of Paternayan with the same proprietary process and with matching color numbers.

(We've found the amount of Persian wool in 2 Oz. of wool varies from approximately 40 to 48 strands each 60" long. The minimum yardage is about 67 and the maximum yardage is about 79 yards of wool per 2 Oz. The amount of strands varies due to the natural differences in wool.)
The yarn is spun from 100% long-staple virgin wool with extraordinary strength for no fraying or breaking during stitching. This versatile, moth proof, 3-ply yarn is perfect for heirloom-quality needlepoint, crewel, cross-stitch and more. Comes in dye lots.
