These wooden boxes and wooden ornaments are made to easily finish with your own stitching. They can be quickly assembled into finished pieces in a matter of minutes. No finisher required. Can be used for any type of pictures or stitched ornaments: needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery, etc. The round frames come with predrilled hole to slide an ornament hanger through.


Many finishers holiday finishing deadline is in the summer months and this is a elegant solution to that problem. That is also less expensive and faster than traditional finishing. Almost anyone with basic crafting skills could finish an ornament with this ornament form in 30 to 60 minutes depending on the person's skill level.


Finishing Steps:

  1. The first step would be to block your needlepoint if needed
  2. Trim off extra canvas till the design is just a little bit larger than the opening of the frame, about a eighth of an inch larger is good or about 4 or 5 rows beyond the design.
  3. You'll want to test fit your stitching in the form, then cut a piece of press on board or heavy duty cardboard thats a little smaller than the opening of the box or ornament.
  4. Test fit the board in your ornament.
  5. Trim your stitching if necessary to make it fit well on your board.
  6. Secure your stitching to the press on board by peeling the sticky side, lacing the ornament around the board or pinning it to the cardboard.
  7. Slide it into your form, reattach the back.
  8. Slide in a hanger to the top for an ornament, attach stand or put box back together.
  9. Voila, beautiful finished needlework!


  • Small square boxes 3" across, has an opening that fits a design size 1 3/8" wide by 1 3/8" high (strong magnets holds the lid on the box and allows easy access to the cube shaped compartment that is approximate 2" in diameter by 2" high and hidden inside!)
  • Round boxes opening for design size 2 1/2" round (which would fit a 3" round design where you don't stitch the outer 3 or 4 rows on 18 ct design)
  • Round ornament opening for design size 3 3/4" round (which would fit a 4" round design where you don't stitch the outer 2 or 3 rows on 18ct design)
  • Square ornament opening for design size 3 3/4" square (which would fit a 4" square design where you don't stitch the outer 2 or 3 rows on 18ct design)
