Lace-Edged Triangle Scarf
What: An easy knitting class. All you need to know is how to cast on, bind off, and the knit stitch. You will learn how to work a chain edge, increase by working front and back, work a yarn over, ssk, centered double decrease, and the basics of reading a chart.
The project can be worked in any size with any size yarn. It works best in a smooth fingering or lace weight wool or wool blend. The scarf model is 330 yards of lace weight wool silk blend yarn and was knitted on US 4 needles. It measures 44" by 17".
Materials: for a 50" by 25" scarf.
Fingering Weight Option: 730 yards of fingering weight yarn; 24" circular knitting needle US 3 or 4
DK Weight Option: 610 yards of DK weight yarn; 24" circular knitting needle US 6 or 7
Worsted Weight Option: 470 yards of worsted weight yarn; 24" circular knitting needle US 8 or 9
All sizes: Locking stitch markers or pins and a very narrow satin ribbon is helpful.
