Learn to cast on, knit and purl, bind off, decrease and increase. Also how to choose appropriate yarns and patterns, getting gauge, and lots more. Everyone will work at their own pace. The project is a sampler scarf. Students will need to do some homework about 20 to 30 minutes a day to complete their own scarf by the end of the class. It will be a 3 session class meeting in the mornings for 3 weeks. If you have any problems during the week just stop in and we will get you back on track. Dates: Tuesdays Oct. 6, 13, 20th 10:30AM - 12:30PM Price: $45 Materials: Pattern provided in class, 200-300 yards of light colored, smooth chunky weight yarn (we don't want furry, bumpy, or curly yarn for your first project) we used Berroco Vintage Chunky for the model, US 10 knitting needles (10" straight needles are the easiest to learn on, only slightly more difficult is 24" circular needles), Tapestry Needle, a sense of adventure, and chocolate.
